4G AND FREE WIFI FOR MORE THAN 220 ARGENTINE TOURIST DESTINATIONS

(ICE) - ROMA, 11 OTT -

More Internet for everyone. 4G mobile connectivity and free Wi-Fi will reach around 220 Argentine tourist points in mid-2019, which, in addition to boosting the destination's appeal, will benefit the local population. These benefits are contemplated in the Tourism Connectivity Plan, which plans to connect 60 locations to the Federal Fiber Optic Network with priority in the deployment of 4G, with fixed broadband of 20 megabytes of speed, in 21 locations that lack this service.

In addition, the service includes providing free Wi-Fi to 24 locations, 116 tourist information centers and almost twenty parties and popular gatherings that are attractive during its development throughout the year. Some of the destinations that will receive these services are El Chaltén and Perito Moreno, in Santa Cruz; Tafi del Valle, Tucumán; Purmamarca, Jujuy; San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro); Villa la Angostura and San Martin de los Andes, in Neuquén. Also included are Cafayate, in Salta; El Bolsón, Chubut; The Quiaca, Jujuy; San Rafael, Mendoza; Concordia and Paraná, Entre Ríos, and Puerto Iguazú, Misiones, among others.

The Argentine government works so that each tourist destination has access to quality Internet, which translates into equal opportunities in a world in which most of the promotion, dissemination and marketing of tourist attractions is done in online format . The plan will benefit some 4,600,000 residents in the destinations involved.
